Writing a book is not as hard as it seems when you have the support you need. I decided to write a book for the sole fact that it was a topic that wasn’t frequently discussed.

I’ve always had aspirations to write my own book growing up I just didn’t know the opportunity would present itself so soon, at the age of 22.

I believe writing a book requires a specific type of discipline. It requires you to be able to navigate challenges. No one really thinks they can write a book until they actually do it.

Writing a book can help your career tremendously.

  1. How many people can say they wrote a book? Not many.
  2. The process of writing a book depending the avenue you take can be very different but it still requires discipline, grit and persistence. You can share this in interviews for jobs or get featured on certain publications.
  3. You are deemed a credible source just off the strength that you wrote a book.
  4. It sets you apart from other candidates because you had to balance other responsibilities whilst simultaneously writing a book.
  5. You end the process differently then how you started it. You grow throughout the book writing process.

There are many other pros to writing a book but these are just a few. Writing a book completely changed my life around. I truly believe that if I wrote a book at 22 anyone can write a book. Let your passion drive you.
